The Range - Country Club Tasmania
Prospect Vale, Tasmania
Opened in 1982, Country Club Tasmania is home to an acclaimed 18-hole Championship Golf Course, designed by champion golfer Peter Thomson and architect Michael Wolveridge. Nestled within the heart of Country Club Tasmania, this new development, The Range offers a dynamic fusion of recreation, hospitality and design. The venue comprises of two levels with 28 new driving bays, alongside a new function space complete with an upper-level bar and lounge area. This space features both banquet and bar seating, offering food and beverage services. Adjacent to the lounge is a breakout alfresco terrace, with panoramic views across the expansive golf course, and an adjoining new mini-golf area. A lower-level bar serves the driving bays directly, ensuring convenience and comfort for all patrons.
This successful project integrates seamlessly into the Country Club precinct, complementing the renovation of the existing golf course and anticipated future development of the Club. Internally a neutral, modern palette grounds the design into its surrounding context, combining natural timbers, green accents, and bespoke lighting. The modern, charcoal-hued pavilion is Architecturally appropriate sitting confidently within the vast landscape, whilst offering an exciting new venue for both the local community and visitors.
"With its cutting-edge design and vibrant atmosphere, the precinct brings a buzz to the region that’s been missing, offering a fresh, fun-filled experience for everyone who walks on the green. It’s the beginning of an exciting transformation unfolding at Country Club Tasmania" Says General Manager Rosss Hannah
All bays are pretty much full from Friday lunchtime through to Sunday 5pm … all 28 are just packed. The first two weeks we've sort of averaged 150,000 to 160,000 balls hit per week
