Liverpool Catholic Club - Stage 3

Liverpool , Sydney

This impressive upgrade features the newly designed Rosemary & Thyme café, a refreshed lobby and sign-in area, a stylish main lounge and bar, and an enhanced auditorium entry. The design strikes a seamless balance between modern aesthetics and practical function, creating inviting, versatile spaces for members and guests.

A key driver of the renovation was to improve spatial flow and connectivity, introduce natural light, and elevate the overall design to reflect a modern, sophisticated hospitality experience. The café has been relocated to the front of house, serving as a vibrant activation point, while the previously underutilised alfresco area is now climate-controlled and comfortable year-round.

The formerly dark, corporate-style foyer has been transformed into a hotel-inspired hospitality space. Skylights above the bar and lounge bring in abundant natural light, with a striking central lighting sculpture forming the focal point beneath the main skylight, serving as a dramatic centerpiece by day or night. Vertical design elements draw the eye upward, enhancing the connection to the expansive skylight.

Throughout the project, a cohesive mid-century modern aesthetic is applied with a consistent palette of materials, thoughtfully adapted to each space. Custom carpets throughout reference Australian flora and fauna, with lobby carpet inspired by Waratah flowers and the café reflecting the Gumtree, adding a unique, local touch. The result is a vibrant, welcoming environment that delivers both functional and commercial success.
